  Although I had read mixed reviews, I booked Trails for the value. I actually found the motel to be very clean and comfortable, and a bargain for the money ($65 per night on the weekend). The front desk clerk was efficient if not particularly friendly, but the facilities were clean and convenient to Mt. Whitney and Death Valley. The owner moved his car so I could park my truck near my room, which was nice.
