Enjoyed the facility itself, but the staff made our stay more pleasurable. The location was within walking distance to almost all of Newport.
I will go again. -
I love that the hotel is unique and desn't feel like any chain hotel. I also love the history of the hotel and that it has been open since 1929.

Location is terrific. Design of building takes advantage of harbor side location. Convenient to walking the town & to public transportation. Nice hotel shop with reasonable prices. -

Very accomodating staff...sent a bottle of wine to our room for our anniversary. Nice that there was an outdoor bar on premesis. Very happy they have shuttles taking you onto Thames St. Ordered fried calamari and it was very, very good! All staff so nice but Paulina who checked us in was outstanding!!!!!! -

I was truly pleased with this particular location. We are a middle aged couple who just decided to take off midweek for a quick trip to the cape/Newport etc. Staff was so friendly, helpful and courteous. Upon arrival the concierge paid attention to our personal trip plans and
upgraded our 2 queen room to a king room with full 2 person jacuzzi for
the same price - it totally changed the whole trip for us - we hardly
ever left the room!! We were within 2 minutes walking distance to some
of the best food in newport - and the beach was right across the street
