It is very close to the airport (about 1mi) although driving from the
airport is about 2.5 miles. It is a quiet Old town location, but located
on the I-5, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you get ear

Staff was friendly, parked our car very close to our room, likedvthe mini fridge, microwave and the breakfast included, it was more than I thought it would be (breakfast) and it was very convenient so that you got that out of the way and could start your day. It is only six blocks to the bay and all the tourist activities there, six blocks to Little Italy, two blocks to beautiful Balboa Park, and a couple of miles from San Diego Airport. Service was good, the room was clean and spacious. It was a bargain. We'll stay there again. -

This hostel is absolutely amazing, and by far the best I've ever
visited. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with helpful staff.
It's located in Little Italy, which is a brief 15 minute walk from
downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter. It's clean and has a very home
feeling to it. Every day the hostel offers activities, both daytime and
evening. Breakfast and dinner is complimentary. I was very comfortable
here, and sad to leave when my stay was over. Will definitely stay here
next time I visit

Very good value for the money, with simple breakfast provided (including waffles!). No elevator to second floor and no whirlpool at the small swimming pool. Just across the street from historic Old Town with shopping, restaurants and museums. Nice 20 minute walk or jog up Presidio Hill, also basketball court, are across the street also.
