  I loved the Holbrooke Hotel for its great central location in old Grass Valley and for its rich lively California history. When I arrived on a Sunday evening there was a Celtic band playing near the saloon inside the hotel which was really cool...the historic elevator was still working so I took it to my room on the 2nd floor, which was room where... co mówią ludzie » the famous Lola Crabtree stayed in, and it was down the hall from the Presidential suites. The room had a beautiful clawfoot bath tub, a working flat - This is our 2nd visit to the Holbrooke Hotel. We came back because we enjoy the historical aspects of the hotel. If folks are looking for the Ritz-Carlton, this is not the place. Come for the olde time ambiance.

  I liked that it was located near the fairgrounds where I was attending a festival. It was nice and clean. The staff was extra attentive, friendly and pleasant.. - Cool old style single level motel, clean and cost effective. Loved the kingsize four poster bed in the Honeymoon room.
