  I enjoyed the old charm of the building and rooms. The lobby and adjoining rooms were trully opulent with beautiful floors, display cabinets, working fireplaces, chandeliers, and heavy wood casings. I enjoyed that while they updated the rooms for electronics, and overall saftey, they kept the room as it would have been in 1949. It was also very quiet at night. - The surroundings, hotel, staff and most especially the food was phenomenal! My husband and I enjoyed a 3-hour dinner!!!!!!! We have a 4 year old son at home, so this was our weekend get-away-- we most definitely WILL be coming back! thank you for a memorable weekend!
