  A group of my friends and I (in our 20's) were having an outing at Sundown Mountain in Dubuque, and after shopping around for hotels I found the Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel and fell in love.   It may not look like much on the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised with our room! The bed was huge and so comfortable. The room was large and spacious. The shower and bathroom were very clean and looked new. They recently opened a new bar in the hotel, but we only got to peak in for a second. It looked really nice.   The staff were very friendly and personable. Carolyn went out of her way to make sure our room would be available for our late arrival. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent and featured waffles, eggs and sausage in addition to the normal cold breakfast fare. Was impressed that the ice machine was inspected each am. The woman at desk gave me written directions to the nearest church for Sunday Mass. My sister said the bed was the best she ever slept on at a motel. Also, there was no noise at night such as slamming doors, etc.

  Nice, friendly we were just traveling through. Would like to visit a again and stay here take in some of the sights. Room was clean, bed was comfy, restaurant food was great, so was the waiter. Thanks - We were walking distance from great places to eat, shopping, museum, casino etc.

  We has a river view which was great. The room was nice and quiet. The food at the motel was good. There is also a water park for the kids which is really nice. I would recommend this motel to any one planning to stay in Dubuque.
