It's a great location, right in the middle of the old city. Quaint little streets, with beautiful mansions, feels like a trip down to history. Very close to the King street as well and all the restaurants, as well as Battery park. It makes you feel like home, because it is a real cottage with kitchen, living room and bedroom, all separated from the main house and the other cottage. Lovely garden for breakfast and for atmosphere as well. Recommended! It's not terribly spacious though, but very o.
wszystkie opinie » We loved the charming atmosphere of the one bedroom cottage inside and outside. The inside was small but very warm and cozy. The spiral staircase, although narrow, only added more character to this very old brick structure. The king size bed and the down pillows were the most comfortable we have slept on and enhanced the fairly tale like experience. The inn keepers were very accommodating and very respectful of our privacy. The downstairs fireplace and little kitchen area are fantastic. The exposed brick is a great look. The outside area is also very quaint. The location is fantastic and easy walking distance to anything you want to do in Charleston. The stocked fridge with a bottle of wine was a nice touch as well. I would definitely stay here again!. Great location and wonderful cozy cottage. The upstairs bedroom was charming and bathroom spacious, downstairs fireplace, sitting area, small kitchen and dining area was perfect. The ambiance of the cottage and courtyard can't be beat...in the middle of the historic homes -you can walk anywhere in town from this location. We loved it!. It is a beautiful, peaceful location in the middle of one of the world's most beautiful cities, a tranquil haven that allows you to feel part of the community, and Judy and Philip Middleton could not have been more welcoming and charming. Just wish I could have stayed longer, and will be recommending it to my friends. The Middleton's were wonderful and we had our wedding ceremony in their courtyard..it was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting the complete "Charleston" experience..the location was great, and they had off-street parking right there on the premises. Lovely historical cottage in an excellent location to explore Charleston. Quiet cottage and courtyard. Comfortable bed.Well stocked with all breakfast needs for our visit which was a surprise. Provided parking a great advantage. We were very happy with this stay. we loved the location and the cottage. We also loved that the owner allowed us to do laundry in the larger cottage because we have a 2month old baby and traveling requires frequent laundry loads. Perfect location in historic center of Charleston. Small private 'renovated 17th century 'kitchen house' provides optimal privacy and nice secluded garden. Very friendly and helpful hosts. I liked the quaintness of the cottage adn the ability to be able to fix your own breakfast when you wanted. It was very homey and comfortable. The owners were very nice and accomodating. i liked staying in a historic place, also liked the bedroom & living area seperated. the bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was roomy. mrs. wallace was a great host. The location was wonderful, the city is beautiful, the cottage and courtyard was charming, and the breakfast set up was superb. Quaint little cottage behind the "big house", in a great neighborhood for walking to restaurants and shops. Lots of privacy!. The cottage built in 1788 I think , had great character . The location could not be better and the owners are delightful. The location to fine dining, beach, shopping as well as how comfortable and relaxing the rooms and courtyard were. Convenient to everything . We can't think of one thing....we loved it all!. The spiral stairs were a bit steep and narrow, so I wouldn't recommend this B&B to any older or tall or overweight folks. I'm 5'10" 200lbs and I had to duck and turn to get down the stairs...it's tight!. Nothing! We wished we could have stayed longer. Nothing. Some people may find the narrow spiral staircase a challenge but it was not a problem for healthy people. The bathroom was off the upstairs bedroom so there was no problem at night. We think they need to change the AC filter as when it was running the odour was not great. We loved this place though. The bathroom and kitchen could use updating but it really didn't bother us, just a suggestion. Everything else was great!. Breakfast could be improved. Nothing to say here. nothing. Love seat was emanating a bad odor. Needs to be replaced. I don't recommend this house for anyone with disabilities because the staircase is hard to navigate, but it was fine for us. We saw no down side to the experience. Can't say say there was anything I didn't like. Less important, WiFi not optimal. a/c is too loud, internet connection is spotty and slow. Breakfast was cook your own with food supplied. Which is fine, but we must have missed this in the description. A DVD player would be nice.
