  Fine old building with lots of character, pleasant dining room & bars, some interesting old prints/paintings. Food was good.Completely comfortable - friendly, helpful staff. Our family room was light and airy, with windows on two sides.Situated close to the excellent Richard Garret museum of mechanical engineering, and the Aldeburgh coast.   The staff were absolutely wonderful - friendly and efficient even when tired. Somebody has a very clever eye for employing good waiting staff, too - personable and willing to chat if asked, while still getting on with their jobs very professionally.
