  I usually stay in bigger hotels within a chain, but have recently begun staying in smaller independants, this represents the smaller hotels very well, highly reccomended, and very personal. - Lovely frendly people, the room was very clean and comfortable.   I like the peaceful location, so near to the city centre. It's an old, beautiful building with a friendly, comfortable feel. I've stayed here many times and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I like the town very much and find it a useful location when visiting my daughter near Xmas. I really hate ideal of it being turned into flats and worse, more buildings - Amazing, great atmosphere, beautiful garden with a huge tree in front of the house... I was only looking for a cheap and modest accomodation for only one night but I was really pleased by the tranquility of the place - it was a very nice place to stay! The staff was also very friendly, the bedding was perfectly clean, so if someone doesn't mind the shared facilities I would highly recommend the place.
