Fabulous place! Like an old coaching inn redecorated in Edwardian times. Extremely elegant furniture and wallpaper, and a wonderful four poster bed. Why is this place not in the "hotels" category? I can't see why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Walsall.

Recently refurbished so decor of a high standard, room of a good size, extremely comfortable and we were lucky enough to have a fantastic view over the river. Although we were told the hotel was full, there was very little noise to disturb us. Nice touches include hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room, always very useful. - the inn was very old

Great breakfast, location ( walking distance to Villa Park), friendly receptionist/waitress, price!
We were able to leave the car parked the day we left at a price of 3 pounds instead of taking car to Villa Park.
The room and bed were clean , as was the shower and toilet. This is what counts when you want a bed for the night!!!! -

My room was comfortable, clean and the shower in the bathroom was great! The couple who run this Guest House were welcoming, warm, helpful and friendly - and this was what made the stay so enjoyable. A very homely, comfortable guest house. The owners, Stan and Jo are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I've a short but very pleasant stay at Joe And Stan's. It is cozy and lovely. I received friendly welcoming and the best hospitality. It was a safe place for a lone businesses woman like me. The bed was good and the breakfast was excellent. I surely will go back again next time I'll be in Birmingham. Thank you for making me feel like home.

The owners are really kind and helpful. They even offer to pick you and even take you to the airport, train station and even the NEC. Enjoyed our stay there had a delicious breakfast and were even offered a packed lunch to take with us for our return flight. It's a homely environment with clean rooms. Suggest the place to whoever wish to stay in a quiet yet homely envirinment :)
