Staff participated in the surprise and we had a lovely evening/night at the hotel. The hotel is very old however, I was pleasantly surprised how clean everything was.   We needed an overnight stopover near to Stirling on a Pitlochry to Ludlow journey. This was ideal-no nonsense-good value for money. The feature we liked best was the faultless detailed personalised letter at the property telling us everything logistic that we needed to know.related to our stay.   The hotel was very interesting and had a real antique look about it. The bedrooms were well appointed with ;nice soaps towels etc... they even provided Sherry in the room...lovely. The bed was a kingsize madfe of 2 single beds... hence an un comfortable bit in the middle...I hate that but otherwise everything else was fab.
