The hotel is situated right in the middle of one of the most iconic Georgian buildings in the UK. The decor of the hotel is certainly in keeping with the grandeur of its location and the spa and restaurant were faultless.
The service provided by the staff was impeccable - which is a first in my experience! All the staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

From the moment we stepped in, the place was inviting. The check-in process was fast and easy as they were expecting us and I only needed to provide my first name...no annoying paperwork. The room was small, but clean, which is most important! We only stayed one night and spent most of time exploring Bath so the size of the room didn't hinder our comfort. Breakfast was great...much better than I have found at a hotel buffet and they have a menu from which you can order for eggs and pancake

The room was superb, light and airy with nice furnishings. Plenty of tea and coffee and a fridge in the hall if we needed fresh milk etc. The staff were there if needed and very helpful and friendly. We only had breakfast in the hotel but this was substancial with plenty of choice, finishing off with coffee in the garden. All in all a superb week-e

We liked everything. Felt totally at home, so much so that we sat on the lounge floor in front of the 'real' fire each evening with the news papers and a drink. How relaxing is that? The people running the hotel were so friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to everyone. The pool needs a special mentiion too, my family think we should get one

Beautiful place to stay in, it is located in a beautiful small town with two historic beautiful pubs. It's close to bath and other small villages. The accomodation was very comfortable. Giles and Stephanie are very pleasant welcoming host, they are very easy to approach and can offer you advice whenever you need. -

Very quiet. Slept well. I stayed before in Bath city centre hotels and the noise from the street made it hard to sleep full nights. But it was great at the university of Bath. It is a bit out of the city, but then again, it is quiet. Also has great facilities on-site: supermarket, cashpoints, post office desks, bars, etc. -

I was greeted with a very warm welcome from the owners & was taken up to the room. The bedroom had a small lounge area which was comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly acceptable.
