There were nearby bus stops but I had preferred to walk (about 15 minutes to Waverley Station). A large supermarket (Tesco) is 5 minutes away and so are a number of restaurants. I went on a day tour that set off early in the morning and John (the owner) gladly served breakfast earlier than usual for me, so that was great hospitality. Excellent! My cooked breakfast of smoked salmon, cream chees and bagel was delicious! Just right :-) My husband went for the full Scottish and he was equally pleased. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

Beautiful eating area, lovely big Scottish breakfast, everything was in a very relaxed way, there was nothing that we couldn't ask Jude about or to help with.
