The hotel was easy to find and Andy the host made us very welcome, unfortunately Tues & Wed are the chefs nights off but Andy recommended restaurants which were superb. Rooms were clean and shower rooms excellent, The scenery in the whole area is stunning and will definitely be back to Tingle Creek.

The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. This hotel looks down over the town of Portree on the Isle of Skye and is only two blocks from city centre shopping and restaurants. The guest house is beautifully renovated. The bed was so comfy. We found the Marmalade hotel perfect for our short trip to Portree. We are a family with children aged 9 and 10 and the family room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good and the breakfasts lovely. The hotel is a small walk out of the town of Portree and has lovely views. We would definitely recommend it and hope to go back!

I liked this hotel, Highland standards can be poor compared with big town hotels, but this one is very good, excellant by highland standards. Situation on the main street is good, with good parking. Room was comfortable and clean with a good shower (unusual in the highlands) Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was first class.

when our tour company cancelled our tour. She let us leave luggage at
the hotel while did a bus tour before catching the train back to

I had asked for quiet rooms, and it was quiet and I slept well. The manager was very helpful to me with Directions etc. The meal was lovely and the prices reasonable. The location of the Hotel was perfect. We will hopefully go again next year. Reasonable rate for single occupancy. -
