We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh. The owner should be very proud , they do a fantastic job, we loved our stay here.

Morag (the owner) was VERY nice and courteous. She greeted us warmly and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day and how we were enjoying Scotland. Also, her breakfast was great and always waiting. Meats, cheeses, huge croissants, choice of cereals and juices.

Friendly staff & room (No,10) was clean, bright & comfortable with nice touches to enhance its ambience (sweets, tea/coffee & cushions on the bed). Room overlooked a shrubbery & had benefit of afternoon sun.Bathroom was excellent. Good choice at breakfast. Good location within walking distance from shopping area & restaurants. I stayed for one night at the Edinburgh Townhouse, and the single room with ensuite was very comfortable. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.

It's a lovely place with amazingly friendly staff! For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.

Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in St Bernard's House and would totally
recommended it. The room was really lovely, all the facilities included,
the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and more than enough
in quantity (even though I was worrying because of other reviews I had

St. Bernard's House is situated in a lovely part of Edinburgh, surrounded by beautiful Georgian architecture, with plenty of little shops, pubs & places to eat etc. round the corner. We were more than happy with our stay and the couple who run the guest house were friendly and very helpful. We hope to return at some point and discover more about the local area and Edinburgh itself.

Excellent facilities in large traditional Edinburgh house, central
situation with easy access to town centre and attractions. Very
reasonably priced for facilities and the fact that it was a Rugby
Weekend which usually incurs doubling the price by many other Hotels and
Guest Houses. Whilst the guest house doesn't do breakfasts there are
good facilities nearbye, although for this particular weekend the host
cooked all guests who were visiting for the rugby a great breakfast on
both mornings in h

Rob and Vicky made us feel welcome from the minute we made the booking, they were able to provide information that made our travel arrangements work better. Unlike the other guest houses I looked into, the room I booked was the
room I had. It was very roomy and comfortable. The staff was very
friendly and accommodating. I inquired via email about a room refrigerator-
even though Valentine's didn't have one, I was told when I
arrived that my suggestion was taken and some were ordered
(unfortunately the company couldn't deliver it for my visit). Also,
I got a 2 page email with tourist suggestions after asking for some
