  I would highly recommend this Guest House. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The vegetarian breakfast was deliciously unusual, I had a banana and burnt syrup pancake. I was very kindly given a plateful of food as I had mentioned that I have a long train journey ahead of me.   Thanks for a great experience in Edinburgh. The Randolph Mackensie really did prove to be one of the highlights of the trip. I've been apprehensive of guest houses but this place has removed any doubts for the future.   It is a little way out from the very centre, but a straightforward walk from the Guest house (takes 20mins) and there are loads of buses for £2.50 for a full day as many journeys as you like you can't really complain!
