  Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our hostess, Linda is an absolute sweetheart. She was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Even after being late by almost 30 mins, she agreed to serve us fresh breakfast.   Really enjoyed our stay - you could not meet a nicer or more genuine couple than Dot and her husband. The room was really nice with a lovely shower and big tv. Breakfast each morning was brilliant and had a nice choice of a fry or continental. The location is a bit outside the city centre (about £8-10 for a taxi at night) but during the day there ... co mówią ludzie » is a bus literally right outside the door. The chef even gave us change for the bus - The room was spacious, lovely big bed, bathroom was fab, very clean and very comfortable.The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is outside of the city but the bus stops every 5 mins just outside of the hotel so its ideal and you avoid the heavy parking charges for staying in the centre. Breakfast was good with a hot and cold buffet available. We would definatley stay here again.

  The Alpha Guest House was a wonderful place to stay. The bedroom was always clean (we were grateful for the fresh towels every day!), modern yet classy and well furnished. There was a good variety of food for breakfast and the cooked breakfast wasn't too greasy - which was good! Not failing to mention the prompt service of the staff.   The place was beautiful and I felt very welcoming and I was helped and given information about where to eat out, for transport etc - It was clean and the landlady was very nice and helpfull.

  Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean, bed was extremely comportable,great value for money, will be back next time I'm in Edinburgh - The staff were extremely friendly and my partner and I had a truly fantastic time. We will definitely be returning within the next 12 months
