The service from arrival to departure was outstanding, staff were very friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble - we were made to feel really special. The room was spotless, the super king size bed was blissfully comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location and easy to find. This was 5-star luxury at a very reasonable rate. -

As soon as you walk through the front door you are made to feel really welcome. The hosts were wonderful with lots of helpful information regarding the area. There are so many things to like about Victoria Lodge which make it an
enjoyable stay. The owners are friendly and welcoming, all of the rooms
are generous sizes and there is nothing that you need that isn't
provided. Vast selection for breakfast which us delicious. Beautiful
building and decor and quiet considering on a busy road. It isn't
licenced but there is a pub directly opposite. All in all a very

Following an excellent meal in the Green Boughs restaurant (the Olive Tree) last year we booked a stay at the hotel. Welcomed by Judith the owner and shown to the room, both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Judith and all the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Lovely, clean B&B with friendly service and good value for money. Stayed one night in a twin room with my son as he had an exam early in the morning and the hostess couldn't have been more helpful while still being unobtrusive. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean! Facilities include Sky, free Wi-FI and parking. Tasty breakfast with plenty on offer. It is a 15 minute walk into the town centre.

Mark and his wife were very friendly and helpful gave us a lovely welcome on arrival. Our room was very clean bright and well equipped. Breakfast was spot on! Really good location for the City Centre. Mark gave us a map on arrival and let us know what was going on in the City for the weekend. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

centre £3 odd in a taxi, but far enough away to enjoy a relaxing day if
