Everything, the staff were very friendly and very well mannered from the cleaners to the manager, it was very clean, the food fantastic, the rooms wonderful, just brilliant in every way. Nice little place to get our head down after a long tiring day wedding planning. Perfect for what we needed and would definitely recommend for our wedding guests in June 2014. Breakfast was superb. Lovely couple who own the place were nice enough to chat with us and give advice on the area.

We wanted a value-for-money place where we could arrive late and this was perfect. We had a double and 2 single rooms (allowing our grown-up sons not to share) for the same price as the budget chains with good facilities. Sleeping in the annex we were able to park outside the rooms.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Happy to arrange for me to have meals in room due to having my spaniel along, and even supplying a snack for said dog! When I was delayed due to poor weather, staff waited up for my arrival and gave me a lovely warm welcome at the end of a difficult trip. Basically, make me feel as if I'm visiting with friends.

The room & ensuite bathroom (and general surroundings) were clean, the bed was soft & comfortable and it was absolutely roasting in the room when we arrived (never a bad thing!). Both Isabell and Phillip were lovely hosts..they were made for running a B&B. Breakfast was served fresh on our plates each morning. Conveniently located just across the road from Gretna Green station for those using trains, and about a 10 minute walk to the Famous Blacksmith's Shop.
