I liked the Hotel, it was in a very good location and easy to find, staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable, some of the comments i had read said it was shabby, but to be honest, if you are staying in an old building like The three Tuns you cannot expect 'Boutique style'. It was perfect for us and had character. The front of house staff were warm friendly and extremely helpful. Not mentioned on your website that they provide full use of leisure facilities at The Marriot which is a 2minute walk away. This really made our stay excellent value for money. wszystkie opinie »

Evening meal was delicious. very convenient for the centre of durham. Ideal location for the city centre. Comfort of the bed and location. The convenience and comfort. Location. the room. Staff. It was the hottest 2 days of the year so far, so the rooms were very warm in the evening and we had to leave windows open, this caused quite a bit of outside noise but we know this was no-ones fault. So to be honest there were no real complaints. The breakfast - if having a continental breakfast it is essential to have a good coffee.Only complaint our room was on the front of the hotel and it was on route to university residences so got quite noisy lat at night /early morning. There was also a taxi rank outside which probably added to the noise. Stairs!!!. It was a bit too hot. Meals were good value but. on second night there was no soup left on the menu (We ate at 8 pm) and then no gammon left on the main course. Breakfast could have been a little better, it was good but not the best we have experienced. Service was excellent however. breakfast selection could better. Occasional noise. staff at meal times left a bit to be desired - food at dinner on first night cold - had to send back. A little noisy - creaky floorboards!. N/A. No shampoo in room. Carpets and decor could do with an update. only that i have a problem with breathing and i find stairs a struggle.Lower floors are better when available. Noisy, as on main road. was not hot enough. Room very hot, no air con. See comment under 1. above. Pricing of glass of wine disputed. No wine list presented with prices. Told small glass was £4.00 at restaurant table, but only £2.80 in bar. Why such a large discrepancy. Large glass was apparently £4.75 at the table. Satisfactorily resolved!!. Noisy plumbing system. Hotel in need of some refubrishment. Nothing really, just needs a bit of decorationg doing, but a lovely building with character.Bar Prices.
