  We got an amazing price from the website and were a bit nervous that the welcome would be a bit strained but this was not the case. The woman on reception was very friendly and approachable - though she hadn't been there long she was able to answer all our questions. Room 14 was a decent size and very warm. We loved the view to the sea and the single paned sash windows as they remind - We had a great time at the Lion Hotel. The room was quiet and comfortable with free wi-fi though this I think depends where your room is. They say it's only available in the public areas and make no claims for bedrooms! Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of items. We also enjoyed two evening meals there with good home style dishes. The hotel is pleasantly situated in the centre of Criccieth and is a few minutes walk from the sea and the castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

  A lovely friendly guesthouse / hotel, on Criccieth's coast road. Easy walking distance to the beach and centre. There is a fantastic guest lounge with sea views and the bedroom (ensuite) was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in a spacious dining room, again with fantastic sea views. The room was pretty and clean and comfortable. It is obvious attention has been taken to update without losing the charm. Attention to details. And location.
