Walked to the Grand Palace, ate in the numerous restaurants within the area while watching backpackers arriving and leaving.   Best value for money that we could find. Private bathroom. Location was very good, close to the old Bangkok and Khao San road. Staff was always available, cheap internet. Many places nearby to eat. - Just off khao san road, so the extreme hustle and bustle wont disturb you, the cafe downstairs is a great place to chill and people watch.

Contrary to other reviews, reception staff were very busy but were always helpful and polite to us. Very efficient.   Stayed with husband and daughter 13 years for 2 nights. The hotel is good for those who want to see the historical sights. Very nice hotel location. The boat, which serves as a public transport for 15 baht per person can gain access to the city center. And these trips are replaced by a tour of the canals. And there is a pier. From the - I stayed at Erawan House twice during this trip to Thailand. The important aspects for me are - location, quietness and security, then staff and cleanliness. Erawan House was excellent in all aspects. Location: excellent - very quite and within easy walking distance to anywhere around the Khao San Road area. Security: felt as though my belongings and myself were safe all the times. Staff: were lovely; very helpful (eg: made phone calls for us), friendly and fun. I would definitely stay again

The chicken satay was so good i do not understand what the Burger King next door is selling.
