  It's very conveniently located for the Sunnegga/Rothorn funicular and Gornergrat train. The staff were very kind and helpful to my elderly parents. Excellent buffet breakfast - really very good for this category of hotel. The pine bar area and restaurant are simply and attractively styled.   A perfect Location, very calm and still not more then 5 minutes from the center, All was great the Hotel, the Staff, the Pool and welness facility, we will go back for sure.... Only Hotel Sonne in Zermatt - Excellent service, nice rooms, very generous spa area- everything was just perfect.

  We were 13 nights in the hotel and had a fabulous time. It is a very nicely renovated hotel, modern but very user friendly. Rooms are spaceous and nicely decorated. Sauna was very complete for a hotel sauna. Massage should be pre booked in winter but are very good and can be recommended. Dinner was excellent as well as breakfast.   Everything was just perfect, especially the "non-smoking throughout" policy - there was no smoke smell to put you off. Some other reviewers complained about the stairs one needs to climb to get to the hotel: from the street there is a short incline (not steep), followed by 20 steps to get to the hotel's front door. We had a spacious room, lovely decorated, with a balcony overlooking Matterhorn. I liked big bathroom with a bathtub. The breakfast was excellent, with variety of cheeses, ham, vegetables, homemade jams, etc (again, served in a lovely decorated room). A short (about 10 min) walk to the railway station. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I would never search for a different hotel if I decide to visit Zermatt again.

  Everything! We loved our stay at Hotel Silvana and wish we would have stayed longer. The views from our balcony were absolutely breathtaking and the hotel staff and food was wonderful. - Beautiful location, conveniant for walking & skiing. Very friendly and accommodating owners/staff. Nice dining resteraunt and bright seperate breakfast room.
