Good location, plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area, although if you want to explore Interlaken fully, this hotel is up at one end. However we only used it as a base and we had a car, so the amount of stuff around the hotel was adequate for our evening strolls. Staff great. We had a free upgrade to a suite. The owners welcomed us personally the first day there...and maintained their interest in our well-being throughout our 1-week stay. The location is outstanding for views of the Alps and being away from the crowds of Interlaken. The room was very large and very clean. We would stay here again without hesitation during any future visits to the area.

We loved everything about the hotel. The facilities were wonderful and the food was delicious. We absolutely loved the different types of sauna and the heated outdoor pool. -

The hotel size is intimate although it has more than 50 rooms. The staff is very personal and attentive. The quality of the facilities is impeccable and the location was ideal for staying in the village, without being inside and hearing any noise.

Faultless. Attentive staff and perfect service. The attention to detail and level of service never faltered when they were busy and when things got quiet mid week.
We stayed in a peaceful room with a view to the rear wooded hillside and it was great. Clean and well serviced by discreet and polite staff. The breakfast and 5 course evening meal were just fantastic; plenty of everything and top quality produce and tastes.

This is an outstanding location, absolutely isolated from all noise and modern pollution. Just outstanding mountain scenery enjoyed from a comfortable historic building. A fine base for hiking, and for visiting the fascinating underground power stations.
