  Having read lots of other reviews which said that it's not very private and the walls are made of paper, we weren't sure about staying there but in the end we were the only people in the hostel and it wasn't a problem.   I really appreciated the warmth of the welcome, the owner had learnt English later in life - again appreciated his efforts. He gave good recommnedations on where to go to eat and drink. The rooms were small but spotlessly clean and very warm. Breakfast consisted of copious amounts of fresh bread and butter, ham, cheese, honey, toast and a fried eg... co mówią ludzie » g, packet croissants and madeleine cakes, and a large pot of fresh coffee with an even larger jug of warm milk. Set me up for the day! - I felt most welcome and every effort was made to ensure my comfort. I appreciated the efforts made by the staff on reception to make sure I had any information I might need. Maps and advice on places of interest and restaurants etc was offered on arrival. The breakfast provided was excellent and was served in a friendly and attentive manner. All staff including the staff cleaning the rooms were friendly and greeted one with a smile.

  We had no problems parking-and ended up seeing the hotel as soon as we emerged from the garage-perfect! It's right next to the police station, so very quiet and safe (not that other parts of the city aren't). It was a very short walk to the cathedral and the city was fantastic to wander through. The heat was on, there was a hair dryer for me to use, they even had an electric kettle and tea sitting in our room - It was excellent in all ways * it was clean, nicely designed , bright, warm, open and friendly , just around the corner from the cathedral, but with ready access to taxis too. the staff , Diego and the young woman (whose name I didn't get) were exceptionally friendly and helpful ~~ in short a delightful place !! I d stay there again ~~)

  Delightful converted monastery. While the rooms were basic the building and its gardens were fabulous - we had our picnic lunch in the cloister gardens. Extremely quiet and a quiet location on the university's old campus. Good continental breakfast. Lots of free parking.   The people who ran it were so nice-- We had just finished the Camino, and were exhausted. They hustled us up to our room to rest right away, and let us deal with the checking in later in the afternoon. They also loaned us a hair dryer for the duration of our stay, and helped us get a cab when we left. Perfect location, great price. There are some nice cafes round the corner doing good-value breakfasts all day, and loads of good cafes, restaurants, clubs, shops and sights all over the city centre.
