  Friendly hotel staff. Very clean, quiet, beautifully decorated and equipped room. Excellent position, only few hundred meters from the city center and easy to reach from the national road. - we loved everything. Pool looked and was fantastic.   This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night.   A really nice place for a relaxed vacation. Service is excellent, and the places really feels out of the way of regular tourism. A really charming "taberna" closeby serves really tasty food. The waitress/cook was a charming elderly woman (who doesn't speak english, but that was all the more fun). The view from the place is great. The owner maintains a small store with basic supplies on the compound, which is very convenient considering that the ~30 people settlement is a long way from places with shops and does not offer any reasonable supply. The place is definitely worth driving the narrow road up to it.

  The food was great. Excellent variety of gourmet foods. The reception was very helpful with every questions we had. On our last day they held our luggage and let us use the facilities until we were ready to leave.   We visited the hotel in May, therefore it was not overcrowded. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is clean and nice. Beautiful views. The food was good most of the times, tasty desserts and fresh salad. There was ice cream available at lunch/dinner time and at the bar.
