  Klinakis Hotel has one of the best locations of any hotel we stayed in in Greece. It is right on the beach, with no highway between you and the sea. We left our patio door open to the sea breeze and it was the only hotel we didn't need an air conditioner on. The beach is what this place is all about and the beach is down stone steps off the driveway. The beach is a sandy one with not a deck chair in - The view from our balcony was just amazing - Klinakis Hotel is beautifully located literally right at the seaside, with 2 beaches, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The place itself is nice and clean and the staff are extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

  Billy, hotel manager, was an excellent help to all our inquiries. He is accommodating and assisted us when our itinerary changed abruptly.   Fantastic situation right in the heart of Chania - Old Town. Room was traditionally furnished with a balcony overlooking the street - perfect. Easy walking to cafes and shops. Yet the hotel is still very quiet at night. You can't drive to the hotel, as the area is for pedestrians only, but parking was only a couple minute walk away. Overall, a great value for your money - clean, fantastic location, nice managers!

His English isn't brilliant but he will do anything to try and help, whether it be finding a phone adaptor, or guiding you to the best fish restaurants (and they're all pretty good around Danaos-very local). They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.

Not only by offering us fresh fruit and raki on arrival and carrying our baggage up the narrow staircase but also by their overall cordiality.
