This was exceptionally good. From the welcome, to the room, to the food. All were excellent. It was the little things, such as access to a community fridge with wine and water, that made the stay of one night really enjoyable, homely and friendly. Perfect location to experience a small village and explore surrounding vineyards, cities and historic towns. The owners are exceptional hosts and the property is inviting and comfortable. The owners are former chefs and the optional dinners are a culinary experience, in addition to providing an opportunity for interesting conversation. Worth going out of the way to stay here - but book early because Domaine du Griffon has a well deserved reputation with French and international travelers.
