  Great budget family run hotel with fabulous gourmet restaurant.Good location within walking distance to the center of Amboise. We stayed not in the main building but in separate cottage facing beautiful old garden. The staff was very helpful (the owner and his wife are always at the front desk). The room was very large (bigger than US hotel rooms for sure) with a queen bed and two leather chairs along with a desk and a bureau (and TV). All the amenities provided. Breakfast was good and the restaurant below the rooms served very tasty Italian food. I would definitely go back there!

The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday so need to be aware of this and have other plans.
