The rooms are above their Italian restaurant which is an excellent place to eat. Breakfast of orange juice, coffee or tea, and wonderful fresh bread and croissants with butter and jam is served in the restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave us bottles of water for our room. Although our room looked out over the busy street below, sleeping was not a problem because by 10:00 pm the street is almost empty. A great bed and breakfast find.
wszystkie opinie » I recently stayed in this lovely guest house for a few days and I really enjoyed staying there. The staff and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was so quiet and yet right in the middle of Amboise! Perfect location. Breakfast was good and the restaurant below the rooms served very tasty Italian food. I would definitely go back there!. We loved this place! It was small, quaint, inside an Italian restaurant, but still very quiet. The accommodations were lovely and the staff very helpful. It was a fantastic location right downtown where all the shops are. We would definitely stay here again. Great value for the money. Beautiful bed and breakfast across the street from the Chateau Amboise. The owner was friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and we had pasta at her restaurant. This bed and breakfast is an excellent value for the money. If we go back to Amboise we will stay here again. Great place to stay when exploring the chateau in amboise the tower was across the road from the rooms with a view from the bedroom window. The rooms are above a great little pizza pasta restraunt lots of character. The proprietor Natalie was very friendly and helpful. A very quaint old building that has been renovated well and is clean & tidy. Staff are friendly and restaurant downstairs is very good. It is a hidden gem in the middle of all the action. It gives you a feeling that you live there and stores, restaurants and the castle are just steps away. The place was one of several rooms built above a nice Italian restaurant. It was charming, comfortable and very clean in a central location. Excellent location right near chateau--great view! Large comfortable room. Not air conditioned, but a large fan was thoughtfully supplied. Very nice location in Amboise, we were with our 3children (2,5,9), and we had a plezant stay in the b&b, only spent one night!!!!!. -Situated in a very center of a delightful Amboise just opposite to the Castle. -Room was very clean and romantic. Is above restaurant. Quiet by 2300. The hours of check in are limited by the hours of the restaurant being open. This was not a problem for us but some may want to check in before 6:00 pm. The pros of Villa Roma definitely outweigh the cons. At 6'4" I found the doorways to be very low and frequently bumped my head. There is no car parking at this hotel so if you have a car you will need to walk with your bags. However we found a free street park less than 100m away so not too big an issue. Breakfast could have been better. Be sure to announce your arrival via the restaurant, Via Roma. Should you visit this lovely hotel, you'll know why!. The only reason facilities were not excellent was because the curtain rod broke and daylight came in very early. Access to the room was up a very narrow, steep circular staircase that would be challenging for anyone with weak legs or mobility limitations. Steep circular stairs made getting luggage up & down from 3rd floor challenging. Nothing. -Although situated in the main square, is very hard to find (look for Via Roma). -We had to wait long for hot water. Getting a parking ticket within five minutes of arriving. Nothing. Too dark inside the room. The entrance is actually the restaurant "via Roma". Not so bad but quite weird crossing with our luggages tables where people were having lunch... The very negative matter was that hot water was intermittent and had some difficulties to take a shower. This is not acceptable.
