The owner, Roselyn, was friendly, gracious and courageous as we communicated with very limited knowledge of each other's language. Fortunately, her English was much better than our French! The rooms were very comfortable, each with a dedicated bathroom with a great shower and even a spa in one of them! The breakfast was delightful with fresh bakery, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and fresh fruit all served with a pretty and classy table setting. The whole experience was a nice surprise .
wszystkie opinie » The amazing owner. If you want to have a great, intimate experience and truly get to know a really nice lady, then choose this tucked away charmer of a B&B. We arrived tired after a very long drive. We had stopped at a store and had picnic provisions to enjoy in the garden. The lady of the house not only supplied ice to chill our wine, but she brought out plates and cutlery for our picnic. We lounged on the back terrace in the most comfortable chairs for three hours, so nice after two weeks. This B&B is excellent location for visiting Amboise - all places to visit are in walking distance. We had the Garden Room, which was spacious, very clean, full of many useful extras (tea/coffee making, adapter plugs etc). The memory-foam mattress & pillows were a real bonus as was the hydrotherapy shower. Roselyn was an excellent, friendly hostess, plying us with all sorts of delicious homemade products at breakfast. She even kindly organised a "drinks & nibbles" evening for all gue. Our hostess loves what she does and it shows. It was obvious that she likes to meet new people and welcome them into her home. She invites guests to meet each other in the evening over appetizers and an aperitif. She makes suggestions for where to go, what to see and even made dinner reservations for us. Breakfast was very good and I loved the ever-changing table decor. The decorating in our bedroom as well as the dining area was lovely and lively. Farrah, her canine companion was lots of. Our bedroom was quite large and had modern decor with personal touches. Shower room was spacious and well equipped, water was immediately hot. Bed was large and very comfortable having thick memory foam mattress. We had a good breakfast, and even had a "doggy bag" to take with us and also a flask of coffee. Rosalyn is a very nice lady and her do was very nice too. (We heard no barking at night). Everything about the accommodation was superb. Even though we had language difficulties, Roselyne and I managed very pleasant conversations. Breakfast was lovely. There was a welcoming back yard with lounges if you wanted to sit in the sun. I would highly recommend Escapade Amboisienne. Even the dog was appropriately friendly!. You will not get a more friendly B&B than this one! Roselyne and her little dog Farra make you feel at home. Go the extra mile is the perfect phrase for how Roselyne treats her guests. The room was furnished to a very high standard. The house is close to the town and there is free parking just down the street. Everything! Friendly hostess, ultra clean and modern accommodations, outstanding location, excellent breakfasts with homemade jams. Hostess was very helpful and made reservations for us reservations at local restaurants. If we have a chance to go back to the Loire Valley, we would stay here again!. Had a great time here! Rosalyne the host was really friendly and accommodating. Her dog was super playful and well behaved. The house is clean, very inviting and homely and as a surprise bonus, the beds are memory foam (had a really great sleep after a long day cycling from chateau to chateau). Absolutely loved it. Travelling with our two small dogs - they were welcoming and could not do more. Room was spotless and comfortable with flatscreen tv and direct access to garden. Wonderful shower. Great location. Returning in two weeks as very happy with it. Excellent host, personally and professionally. Very friendly and accommodating. Excellent and well presented breakfast, a cut above the norm. Provided very useful information. The room and bath were very comfortable. Overall, an excellent B&B!. The owner is charmful. She really cares about her visitors. The room and the bathroom were spacious, very nice and colorful as well as comfortable. The breakfast table was arranged beautifully and the meal was tasty. Highly recomended. Madame was very welcoming and had aperos ready for us on our arrival. We had two dogs with us and she was very happy to accommodate them as well. The location is very close to the Amboise chateau. The place has been totally remodeled and is really clean and up to date. Roselynn was a great hostess, helping us find our way around the valley and sharing her lovely terrace with us. This was our first B & B experience. We will definitely do that again ,. Very clean and comfortable. All amenities provided as listed. Owner went above and beyond expected niceties in making us feel at home while allowing for privacy. The breakfast was not fancy but the quality was superb, the best coffee and butter ever tasted. Owner was vey nice and friendly with a lovely dog. All in all; perfect!. Great position for walking the town centre, wonderful breakfast, very comfortable rooms. Friendliness, new bathroom, location close to the castle and town center... everything!. It was a little uncomfortable at first because you are sharing a home with a complete stranger who has a dog, but Roselyn quickly made it comfortable for all 3 of us with her charming attention to our comfort. At first it was a little odd to tramp through the owner's kitchen on the way to and from our upstairs room but the owner is so warm and nice that we soon got over this feeling. Nothing really other than to comment that car parking is a little difficult, nearest free car parking is about 5 minutes away but spaces are at a premium during the day. That we couldn't stay longer. My particular problem was that I didn't have a car, so it was a long walk from the station and not being fluent in French I had difficulty locating the property. While it was not a problem for us, offsite parking may potentially be an issue in high season. Can be difficult to locate initially because of narrow streets and poor signage. Parking not onsite but not really a dislike. Free parking available about 50 metres walk away. Parking very safe there too. There is no parking associated with the facility. We did find parking in the municipal lot not too far from her place. Difficult to locate the street in this small but quaint little town. Whilst I was made very welcome I felt as though I was intruding in the owners home. Not the owners fault just my hang up I suppose. nothing to report. Not a major issue, unloading luggage was not the best on a narrow main road. Parking was 150 meters down the road. 'Little dog' is now a medium size very friendly dog. Not a big problem, but maybe: Parking? Wardrobe?. Difficult to locate in town.
