  Gem in the forest! My family is 5 people with 1 infant travelling from Thailand for 10days in Canada. This is the most impressive hotel we stay in Canada because of its style & location!   Good room set up for friends travelling together - the two queen bed room was almost like a two bedroom - allowed for privacy.   The room was very large, clean and cozy. The room had a fridge, two comfortable chairs and a dining table, which we could use for snack or breakfast, a very large desk and a chair, which we could use for a computer. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, kitchen, microwave... We've stayed at other places in Banff, and liked Irwin's the best. Most of the other places felt more like overpriced motel rooms, while Irwin's felt like a nice hotel. We got a great last minute deal on a room, and were pleasantly surprised by what a nice place it was. Also, pet fee was only $10.

  We had a great view of the mountains in Banff from our room. The hotel is up out of the townsite, so you feel like you are in nature. The room itself was modern and roomy. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. When we went down to get them from the parkade, a porter came and found us and told us that the clerk had a room ready for us. We arrived only to find out I had made our booking for the following month! The manager was really kind and helpful and was able to find us a room even on a busy Family Day long weekend.
