  The hosts were very helpful when we had problems with one of our bicycles. We were made welcome when we arrived with homemade cake. The gardens are well laid out with plenty of seating. - Wonderful owners, perfect countryside location and a lovely bike ride along the canal to the city. I'm already booked in for next year.

  Everything was great. The room was large and beautiful, so as the bathroom which had a bathtub. The bed is really comfortable and environment is so quiet that we woke up thanks to the birds outside. The breakfast was very nice, with fresh pastries, eggs, ham, cheese and fresh fruits. Loved the light, airy and luxurious room (vanilla room) which also had a lovely roll top slipper bath and walk in shower. Very friendly but unobtrusive staff met us and showed us around and served a great continental breakfast. Honesty bar and access to kitchen for teas and coffees was a nice touch. Beautiful tiny courtyard garden.

Because of industrial strikes at the ports we did not arrive until after midnight and the hotel arranged keys for us outside and upgraded our room with a beautiful bathroom to get over our bad journey.
