  The owners were so thoughtful. The accommodated an early arrival and greeted us warmly. The villa was immaculate as was the rest of the house.   The accomodation was of a very high standard. There were a lot of personal touches (DVDs provided, jug of milk, mosquito coils, traffic updates, the dog, advice on things to do in the local area). We had 3 nights stay unexpectedly (only booked 1) due to major Queensland floods that closed most roads north of Brisbane.   We were able to bring out puppies to enjoy our stay and they also loved it. We all felt right at home, everything was beautiful and very clean and fresh. The gardens were just beautiful.   Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had.
