We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

Very close to city. Even closer to Botanical Gardens. Very cheap. Parking at the motel with extra security door from outside. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave. There was also access to a kitchen if you wanted to do more serious cooking. The room had a fan and a heater. Laundry facilities. -

We stated in the motel. While an older style motel we got a very big room and very comfortable surrounds. Service on check in was excellent with advice about delivery of meals from external restaurant welcome as we didn't wish to go out. Situated in the midway of thr slope, it js close to city center and yet won't be noisy. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed staying in here. There was a funny cute fat cat accompanying us when we check out. The cat didn't let us walk ahead of it, so funny.
