was a fabulous view, beautiful clean room with great shower and comfortable beds n couch. close to both queen st mall and eagle st pier, with a great french patisserie across the road!

Make sure you request your car park when booking your room and ask the hotel to send you directions and instructions for accessing the car park and reception. I did this and thought arrival / check-in would have been quite difficult without having this information.
The parking situation was pretty stupid. Paying all that money and then make us pay more just to leave our car there?! So we had to park down the street, one of the staff said it were going to be cheaper. Anyway turns out it costed $135 to park for 2 nights. Wasnt very happy about that at all.

The utinsils provided, e.g. plates, didn't have any measuring cups, barely any bowls or larger plates to put meals for two on.

The smoke alarms are super sensitive, i found the paint work on the walls pretty shabby, blotches everywhere, felt there was a lack of telephone books or information about Brisbane city in the room, maybe info on buses , taxies , transport would be handy. I did find the cutlury needed another clean before use..
the staff on the front desk where extremely helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young gentleman (from Adelaide I think or studied there) and the next day a gentleman from Texas? Both were extremely helpful and delightful.
Lighting in the room is below par for "old" people like us, not even a lamp in the sitting room. Could not read at night, very dim. We were in room 378.

The staff were easy to get along with and did not bother us at all during our stay. And we respected the hotel room and kept it clean in response to this.
We really enjoyed our stay... First walking distance to all the nicest places to see at Brisbane... Second we love the view though its 10th floor onlu, hoping on our next trip maybe we can try the 50 plus level.
No parking area...our car is really big for a family holiday...
The apartment was nicely presented and well equipped. I loved the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent. The Scottish girl st the desk was excellent and very friendly and helpful (think her name was Michelle or Melissa).
Scant instructions from front desk girl when I arrived. Was difficult figuring out the parking and where the lifts were as they don't stop on every parking level. Also was not given any instruction about getting back into building. Would've been good to find some maps and information brochures in reception.

Tim with the Southern American accent was outstanding! Hi service and attitude was exemplary.
The TV did not work in the first apartment so Tim very kindly relocated me to a better room. However both the phone and the microwave didn't work in that apartment. The drainage in the bathrooms is always poor in the apartments at Aurora and the old spout fittings need to be upgraded.
Apartment was large, clean and central to the city for exploring.
Special requests given to letsbookhotel.com at time of booking were either not passed on to Oaks Aurora or were not followed through by Oaks Aurora.

+ Couldn't seem to find free to air news channels. Local channels on Foxtels were not available through subscription level, and TV had to be re-tuned to get channels + "Oaks" car parking signs were a little small and hard to identify when trying to find a car park
The view was amazing, extremely comfortable apartment. I stayed there with my sister and we loved it. Nice and clean and easy to look after yourself. I will return.
Staff looked bored. A smile goes a long way in customer service. I work on Hamilton Island and have been working there for the last 8 years. Guests are number 1. No heated spa and pool.

It was good value for money, great location for holidaying, shopping and close to public transport. Clean and tidy, modern, bathroom had a good layout and was a good size, apartment was tastefully decorated. Had everything required for a self contained appartment.
Wi-Fi could have been included. There were no 'microwave' friendly bowls.
Location, layout was great, catered for family of 5, self catering, local to everything you need, views excellent, swimming pool and gym facilities great.
There was nothing in the room to tell us hotel rules or brochure/maps of local entertainment, shopping (food), things to do. There was also nothing to tell us that room cleaning was done on a daily basis, although a great service. Very hard to find the hotel also, found a lack of signage hard to pinpoint which hotel it actually was.

None of the staff were overly friendly, none smiled at us at any point we had interactions or when we'd walk by the desk. except there was a nice helpful young man who greeted us initially then came to check out our broken foxtel box in our room whom was friendly.
