  I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong night. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful and was able to change our reservation at no additional charge.   Although I had read mixed reviews, I booked Trails for the value. I actually found the motel to be very clean and comfortable, and a bargain for the money ($65 per night on the weekend). The front desk clerk was efficient if not particularly friendly, but the facilities were clean and convenient to Mt. Whitney and Death Valley. The owner moved his car so I could park my truck near my room, which was nice.

  The whole experience was just great. I loved being able to walk anywhere in town once parked at the hotel. The rooms were attractive and beds comfy. - love the cozy bed, nice large room fantastic view and history/lobby displays
