The reception staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful; rooms were very clean, well-furnished and very. The breakfast exceeded continental standards by far. The assorted bagels, cereal and yogurts was individually wrapped and the milk in individual containers as well as variety in condiments. The bathroom was superbly fitted which had a very large and powerful shower. The pool area was spotless. I will definitely be returning.
alle vurderinger » Excellent reception staff. Good size room in clean and fresh decorative order. Included a continental breakfast which was well laid out and refreshed as needed. Convenient for a delightful part of Houston - yes, really! - the Rice University area and magnificent Hermann Park. The hotel was generally ok. Staff were helpful and it was usually clean. I believe the location was quite central based on the places I had to visit during my stay. A good choice for the price it has. Clean, well located and quiet, although it is on highway side. Location was real advantage....many shops and resturants around. Gallaria Mall 7 Minutes driving. Location, staff. Good breakfast, quiet even that is close to the freeway. Big rooms. I liked the location the best and it wasn't noisy so I got a good nights rest. Excellent continental breakfast. Huge selection and all good. The breakfast was nice and the location to downtown. Great ubication, close than best places in Houston. The staff was fine. Sheets were nice. Not one thing. There was nothing. Too cold to use that inviting outdoor pool! A guest computer needed with Printer for travellers like us heading to airport but wanting to be in reach of university and lovely Hermann Park not too distant. The breakfast was exactly the same, though there was quite some options. The breakfast could be improved. Not perfectly clean. Old building and rooms, needs full renovation. The bathrooms were not as clean as I expected. Toilet was small, round bowled and the water level in bowl was so close to the seat that I had to sit with one leg pushing up to keep my testicles from being in the water. Need taller seat. Breakfast could have had more variety. No complaints though. A/C didn't work very well. Room wasn't cleaned well (pills on bathroom floor). The pool was dirty. They really didn't change ours sheets on the bed, just remade them.. Would like a bit more security. The location was bad and the breakfast was not good. Trash can in the room still had trash in it when I got in the room. The desk was sticky from spilled soda. Hot water kept going to cold during shower. We had some problems getting on line, but eventually sorted it out. The floor was filthy. There is a door to next room. I can hear the noise from neighbors at night. Staff was unattentive on some ocassions. Need not have record of our online/confirmed reservation...road noise was very bad, did not sleep well, valve on shower was so tight my wife could not turn on or off or adjust water. Too Expensive even with the 'hike' for the OTC show. If you're going to put the prices up at least have proper Cutlery & Plates/Bowls! Using plastic everything was aweful! Breakfast, shall we say, Limited. Wi-Fi poor & rooms pretty basic. Can't see me going back. All Room Services. The elevator is extremely dangerous. It malfunctions regularly (6 times while I stayed there!!!), and is a huge hazard to all guests. Also, there is very outdated carpet and other infrastucture. The staff was fine, but the hotel as a whole needs dramatic improvement in many areas. If not, good luck staying profitable. I'm very very dissatisfied with the money I spent for this dump. I will not stay again or recommend it to anyone, unless proper measures have been taken. Facility is dated and run-down. Not quite ratty but close. Old facility; hard to access due to busy road; staff was not friendly; bed was not good; etc., etc. Couldn't find room found room and it was nasty bad location need to upgrade everything, from carpet to ceiling.
