  This YHA is in the most amazing location next to the incredible Whitby Abbey. The property itself is very old and still maintains the charm and many features of its glory days. The property has immense character and I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was fine for 4.99 and they also offered dinner options. Highly recommend Whitby YHA. - All staff were really helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff great fun.Only had breakfast but a brilliant choice. Reception staff through out the stay very professional , welcoming . The Hostel is in an outstanding location, good for parking,the building itself is full of history without being stuffy or pretentious. Also you get free entry to the Abby how brilliant is that!   In our opinion this was the best guest house we have stayed in. Our room was very comfortable spacious and clean and the towels were changed everyday. There was a fridge on our landing and the owner Sheila put fresh milk in there in case we didn't like the milk in our room (Have never stayed anywhere else that did that). Mike, Sheilas husband cook... hva folk sier » ed a lovely breakfast and we were always offered more tea, coffee and toast. There is also a lovely lounge downstairs to use with a very large comfort - Michael and Sheila were very friendly and down-to-earth. We were made to feed very welcome and everything was to a good standard and very clean. The breakfast was very good too. Whitby itself has everything you could wish for from a friendly seaside town (British weather permitting of course) and it is particularly dog-friendly. There are lots of food outlets to suit every budget. Shopping is excellent. Will definitely be going to Whitby again!

Hotel very clean, felt like a home away from home. Loved it, would stay there again, location excellent.
