  This is the best B & B I have stayed at. Having looked around I preferred it to the local hotels. The owners go out of their way to make your stay a pleasure. Don't miss the superb locally sourced evening meals. Followed by a relaxing sit in the sun lounge overlooking the beach, available to guests all day. My room was spotless and the bed was the most comfortable I have EVER slept in. The marine has the most wonderful setting with a superb view across thurso shore to scrabster harbour, Holborn head, Orkneys and dunned head. Thanks Karen & Richie for your helpfulness and the lovely breakfasts, my great start to perfect days. I will be visiting you again.

  The hotel is only a short walk from Thurso or Scrabster harbour and has fantastic views looking across to the island of Hoy.   Food was good in the hotel restaurant, The Red Pepper, close to main street, staff excellent, clean rooms, Thurso lots to offer, lovely walk along the riverbank. - Helpful staff. Friendly staff.   I have stayed previously and know to expect very dated basic but clean lodge accommodation. The breakfast is excellent and taken in the main hotel dining room. Free wifi in main hotel. Very helpful staff. Good bar and food. Good parking. - Food was excellent but a bit on the expensive side. Staff were polite and friendly. Housekeeping was excelle... hva folk sier » nt. Location was good for the purpose of our trip which was visiting family. The Apple cheesecake was a delight!!!

  Good old fashioned hotel. This was my third stay in 4 years so that should say something. Superb value for money. Friendly, helpful staff. Included in the price was a full Scottish breakfast which was excellent. - very friendly and helpful staff, felt thoroughly comfortable and safe
