The relaxed atmosphere within the hotel and freindliness of the staff.the food was very good and the large room too. We are repeat customers which speaks for itself. fantastic, great food too. Everything was very good, the staff were attentive, the food was very good and the room was lovely.freindly staff and pleasant surroundings. Excellent location, bedroom, dining area and grounds. Lovely room and great food!. My room. closeness to racecourse. Reception staff very friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet nice choices, cooked breakfast good. Nice natural grounds with flowers and wildlife.Location. Comfort. Value.rooms are nice and clean; breakfast is good. Lovely site and building but in need of a serious makeover –particularly the bedrooms. The noisy air conditioning unit outside of our room during the night.the shower and bathroom area is a little dated. External appearance, needs a coat of paint. No lounge area for residents except 4 seats in the bar area.
En suite could do with some decoration. The waiting staff weren't as good as the food - no one really knew the wine list, the service was fine but just didn't reflect the quality of the food.we were woken up both mornings by noisy staff in thew reception area.Virgin radio broadcast in breakfast room. No pastries, croissants available, nor toast offered for breakfast. We stayed in Room 1 which is at the top of the stairs and is pretty noisy as you can hear everyone booking in at reception.heating in my room was broken; there are sometimes no staff at the reception; kinda far away from the cambridge (20-25 pound taxi). Bedroom accessories (hair dryer, minibar, beddings) and bathroom fiittings.
