  We enjoyed our short break immensely. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, and were always recognised when we came into the hotel by the staff on duty.   The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - anywhere. Lovely room - great hospitality tray including your own fresh coffee. Bathroom was great - plug/combined tap was a bit hard to fathom at first but modern bathroom appliances are a steep learning curve for some and easy for others. The room and property were a bit of peace and quiet away from the seafront noise of Sidmouth itself - and yet only a bus ride or - We stayed in the heather suite which was very comfortable, nicely decorated and relaxing. Nice jacuzzi bath. We had evening meal ( additional cost) that was outstanding, the food and surroundings.

  The staff were very accomadating and was aup to the standard that we had when we stayed in the pub previously. Very handy for shopping in the local butchers/newsagents shop.close to Sidmouth and the East Devon coast. - It was an awsome stay in the red lion.
