I was there for my retirement party, arrangements were taken care of by 2 collegues, food was excellent, staff very friendly. We checked in to New Lanark Hotel for one night and were upgraded to one of the Waterside, two-bedroom, self-catering cottages. It was a fabulous location, right on the water. The sound of the river was constant, but a lovely and soothing sound. If you don't want to hear the water, this is not the place to be! The walks in the woods are fantastic and the whole complex is definitely worth visiting, especially with the discount for being a hotel resident. They make a real effort to be eco-con
