the staff were very welcoming and accommodating for myself and my boyfriend. We are a young couple and simply had a short weekend break. It was perfect for location and a short walk to everything. I was originally put off by reviews I had read on the Delmont, but please don't let it put you off. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back. Breakfast was great and prompt service :)

The bedrooms are bright, warm and comfortable and the shower in the conservatory bedroom was one of the best I have ever used in a hotel. We loved almost everything about The Stone House Hotel. The public spaces are charming and comfortable. Our room, one of the smallest, was tastefully refurbished and also very comfortable. The rooms have plenty of space, they are clean and tidy, good to find a microwave and a good size TV (not like those other budget hotels with they 20inch tvs) Not a 4star but a very, very good budget hotel. I foubd all the staff very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble, we would stay there again. -
The rooms very big, clean and comfortable. It was very affordable, we paid £30 for a double room. It is right by the A1 highway, but it was very quiet. There was a small incident as the boiler broke down before we got there, they offered us a discount, and access to another room with shower. Highly recommended
