Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in. Letham house has been lovingly restored to one of the most beautiful manor houses in all of Scotland. The attention to detail is fantastic. It has charm, character and style. Warm hospitality abounds. Very will run. Barbara and Chris are so welcoming. We loved our stay.

I must add, however, that there were problems.Like getting locked out at night, and first night we arrived, we onlygot a bedroom because another guest had changed rooms, and still had keyto the first room. Second night, locked out again, but managed to wakethe owner, it was just after midnight, but front door locked, and nostaff around.2 Other guests also locked out
