  the staff were amazing.special thanks to Jennifer on the reception.i checked out and realised id lost an earring which were bought as a present from my late grandma.She gave me another key to go back to the room but I couldn't find it,she contacted housekeeping which they searched for it and found it for me it was in the tray of the shower when th... hva folk sier » ey lifted the plug.great thanks to evelina who found it and personally brought it to me.this was my second stay at the Dakota.if im ever in the area a - We loved the design & decor of the Dakota. It was very modern & stylish. The staff from beginning to end were amazing ... So so friendly. We stayed for 2 nights but on the 2nd night we decided we wld like our 9 yr old Grandson who we were visiting in Edinburgh to stay the night with us. We asked reception if that wld be possible & within 10 mins a z bed was being set up in our room. We had a great weekend & will definitely be going back. My Grandson was well impressed also.. Hi - The location was great, not to far out of Edinburgh. There is a bus stop 50yds from the hotel and you can get a bus to Edinburgh which costs £3- 50p return. which is a dam sight cheaper than the £20+ it costs to park for the day. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful the hotel is a very modern design and beautifully appointed. Don't be put off by the fact its next to Tesco's on a retail park, its just brilliant planning as if you are going out for the day you can go and get food to take with

  It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile. Our suite was actually a fully equipped apartment with dishwasher, microwave kitchen sink refrigerator and plenty of kitchen utensils. Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station).
