  Kensington is a very good part of London to stay for a short break. There are of couple of lovely restaurants in the neighborhood, but you have to take a closer look at the menu before you enter, because prices are very different and high prices do not guarantee a good meal. Restaurants we visited: Sporano's is a very good restaurant if you like Italian food besides pizza and - We benefitted from a very special deal due to refurbishment. The price was superb for the location and the room on the 7th floor was so quiet. It was ideal for exploring this end of London. The seating areas in the foyer were wonderfully relaxing, especially on a wet morning. It was so near the Metro and yet, so peaceful. Plenty of shops and cafes, nearby. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed and cosy and warm.

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping filled up the welcome tray day by day for free. The WiFi was free as well. There was an iPod dock which also had an alarm function. The bathroom had a good size and you could easily refresh the air in the room if you opened both of the windows. The electric radiator was fantastic. Swimming pool is small (not the average 25m- but that's not a bad thing when you just want to chill!). Right next to croydon town centre for food and shopping. Next to trams and bus stops (some buses are 24 hour) and East Croydon station with fast trains to Victoria and London Brigde which each take approx. 15Mins. Most importantly, the rooms are clean.   It is an elegant hotel in a quiet but very nice district. It is very close to London Bridge, Tate Modern, Borough Market, Shakespeare globe. Within walking distance there is nice restaurants and cafes. There is even a cinema across the hotel. The tube is within 10-15 min. walk from the hotel. To sum up B2 has elegant - Extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay! Very quick check in with lovely staff who helped us to find bus routes. The room we stayed in was amazing - everything from the layout to the comfy bed and huge shower made our stay so fun. We also had a great view onto the courtyard where the sun came in, and were able to see the park. We were able to leave bags for the day. Tower Bridge was just down the road! Short bus journey to Waterloo/Southbank areas too.
