Excellent buffet at breakfast - never seen curried chickpeas and basmati on a breakfast menu before, very very nice indeed. The cook was standing near the buffet and we had an excellent chat about vegetarian foods. The hotel is an excellent hotel overall, and the room was spectacular. The staff were super professional and friendly, and I greatly enjoyed it. The bar and lounge area were a great place to meet colleagues or to just sit and read quietly.

This is our fourth stay at the Mercure Holland House, Bristol. We have always received the best of attention from the staff who are very pleasant to a one. Excellent hotel - given the budget room price, wasn't expecting too much, but a very well-presented hotel. Room was large and comfortable, good bed. Staff helpful and professional, good bar and restaurant. Very convenient location for shopping in particular - across the road from the Cabot Circus shopping centre and the rest of Bristol's main shopping district. Cinema, restaurants etc all very close. Train station 10 minutes' walk.

Stayed 18-20th July 2013 room 210. Had a great stay here. Arrived a bit early at 12.30 but there was a room ready so we could check in. The parking is right next door in the NCP multistorey carpark. Unfortunately the carpark lifts are out of action but that's NCP's fault. The hotel validate your parking ticket so it only costs £12.50 /day. The ro

We walked through the door to be greeted with mince pies and mulled wine and a friendly and festive welcome to us and our grandchildren.
The member of staff who checked us in understood our needs (my husband is disabled) and those of our grandchildren and put herself out to ensure these needs were met. The hotel was busy but we felt we were treated as if we were the only guests. We expect Mariott's to be comfortable and clean,

The facilities in the room were excellent, its nice having the facility to cook if you want, and the bonus of the washing machine and dishwasher was brilliant. The room/apt was the perfect size for two of us, nice big bathroom and bedroom

The room was fantastic - we may have been the first to stay in it, it certainly felt like that. High quality finish, very comfortable and luxurious. I chose a serviced let for a change to staying in a hotel. The accommodation was comfortable and everything you needed was available. It was clean and spacious just as in the photos, I could cook a meal when I wanted and most important what I wanted. It was good to have free wi-fi too and secure, gated parking. The location was good for getting out of Bristol to visit other places, eg we went to Cardiff and Bath.
