The service was friendly and staff responded to our particular needs. The views spectacular. The facilitites comfortable, well maintained and the decor exquisite. Having the opportunity to choose a breakfast that is freshly cooked was wonderful. An extremely pleasant experience. The location over looking St Michaels mount and the proximity to town and public transport is also a bonus.

Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking. The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

High quality hotel set in its own grounds with excellent facilities and attention to detail, without feeling pretentious. Everything, nice quiet position ,
Beautifully appointed room, great breakfast selection even though it wasn't the traditional big fry up , it was super , fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissant , white and brown bread to toast , jams , orange juice , cereals.
The bed was very comfortable , the bathroom was large and we would urge everyone to treat themselves and book a stay here.

Everything! Helpful and friendly hosts, quiet and spotlessly clean house, very good breakfasts...and just a couple minutes walk to the beach, a few minutes more into the town. Also extremely good value for money. I have stayed in many guest houses over the years and I would say The Lynwood is the very best of the best. I loved my stay there. -

After arriving by train, we spent 1 night at Carnson House before taking the Scillonian next morning. We were in room 6, on the ground floor, opposite the breakfast room. As well as a very comfortable bed the room had all the little extras like a plentiful supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and hair dryer. The breakfast choice was very good, well cooked and delicious. The hosts were very helpful and cheerful. It was spotlessly clean.

Totally amazing location. View from our huge window was breathtaking. We could walk almost anywhere. Parking was available. Little sitting area, although tiny, was cozy and a great place to sit and make use of the wifi. Owners very helpful and friendly. TOTALLY loved the entire area of Cornwall, particulary Penzance!

charming street in central Penzance. Our room was basic but quite
comfortable, just as advertised (we were on the third floor with partial
sea views over the tops of the houses below us). The ample continental

Paul, the person who was on reception and looking after the place was extremely friendly. He even gave us a car tour guide that he had of the local area of Cornwall to take with us while we were driving around sightseeing which included some sights that most tourists don't get to see.
The food was great and good value for money. the facilities were all very clean and we were made to feel so welcome and at home.
