Superbly situated on the seafront, the Kilchrenan House overlooks Oban Bay. The Victorian seafront property is just 15 minutes’ walk from Oban Railway Station and boasts free Wi-Fi and free private parking. The en suite rooms at the Kilchrenan offer a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Most rooms boast views of the ocean and antique furnishings. In the mornings, the guest house serves a breakfast menu which offers traditional Scotch porridge and full Scottish breakfast, along with vegetarian and continental options. Oban town centre offers various shops, restaurants, and bars, all within a 1 mile radius of the property. There are several golf courses in Lorn, including the Glencruitten Golf Club just a 5-minute drive away. Ganavan’s sandy beach is within 2 miles of the Kilchrenan House.

Colin, Francis and the gang were terrific and very helpful re local info, restaurants, etc. We wished we had stayed longer. Nicely, restored large house across from Oban bay, just far enough out of town to be walkable and quiet at same time. Beautiful views of Kerrera and sunset. Great breakfasts. We were in Scotland for two weeks, and Kilchrenan House was by far the finest place we stayed. Could not believe the value for money: more comfortable, more friendly,and better food and views than some of the big city-centre hotels! Strongly recommend it. 10/10.
alle vurderinger » The guest house had a lot of character very clean and comfortable and the views of Oban Bay was wonderful.They provided us with a suprise bottle of bubbly in our room as it was our honey moon and they were flexible with breakfast if you required a special diet. - Wonderful host, very helpful and patient with lots of information about local area - Great location overlooking the bay - Within walking distance to the town - Large clean room and bathroom - Delicious food - Very well organized facility. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great views of Oban Bay from front rooms.Decent sized bathroom with bath. Amazing wardrobe you could almost get to Narnia in! 5-10 minute walk to centre of Oban around the beautiful bay. The location was super, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The breakfast of Scottish pancakes and fruit was a nice break from the usual fare and the dining room , foyer areas were very welcoming and comfortable. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality... We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely, with a big bay window looking out to sea and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended. The only negative was the shower in room 9 were we stayed kept going cold which made it uncomfortable. Can't think of anything. Nothing to report!. Only one thing and not to make a fuss over it but cobwebs in bathroom,although we could see they were difficult to reach,apart from that the bathroom was very clean and would certainly not affect our decision to stay again. That I had to leave. Having to be out for 10:30am, if it had been 11:30 - 12pm I would have no hesitation giving 10/10. Nothing much to say here, very minor thing would be the mattress was too hard for my liking. Still got a decent nights sleeps though. Wouldn't put me off staying again. Nothing to dislike !!. No faults what so ever. Nothing. The only thing we would have changed would have been to have had a room on a lower floor but perhaps lighter suitcases would have solved our problem!!. Nothing. Our room was quite small, this isn't the fault of Kilchrenan House it's just that's all we could afford at this peak time of year. Thought for the price it would have been slightly bigger?. Room was very small. Bathroom was tiny. Only the hailstones!. Small room. No room for suitcases. Tight parking. nothing. Room was quite small. Our ensuite was very small with the sink in the bedroom. Window was locked so we couldn't open. Very small room, en-suite compromised the size of the room, poorly cooked breakfast, compared to staying in 8 other locations, all priced between £60 and £80 this was bar far the poorest in every way.
